About us

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can have a part in creating a better future for our community.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team is  expanding and we will spread out in different regions to make sure we cover more areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes that help needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the community so anyone can approach us anytime they need help.

If we can heal a broken child, society will be better because we will have more productive citizens.

The Founder

Adrienne Hickman, Founder & Executive Director of Revision Nonprofit Organization, grew up in a single family home with 3 siblings.  She also became a single mother at the age of 17.  She understands how children in unpromising circumstances may feel like they cannot achieve anything.

Revision NPO is an organization that helps people start anew. We offer resources, education, and a safe place without abuse, especially for kids who do not have a stable home. We have separate group homes for boys and girls.  The children who come may be hungry, in need of shoes or a jacket, and may have come from a difficult situation. The goal is to offer them comfort and love, and to help them become productive members of society. Sometimes, people who have been hurt in their childhood grow up to hurt others. This is why it is essential to give them love and care to break this cycle. The school nurse at Revision NPO offers hugs and ensures that the children don’t go to bed hungry.

Adrienne Hickman is a nurse practitioner.  She studied nursing at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She earned her nurse practitioner qualifications at Herzing University in New Orleans.  And she also holds a cosmetology license.  Adrienne Hickman grew up in the 70805 area code.
